BOSTON, May 30 (UPI) -- A Boston website is auctioning an acrylic nail worn by pop star Lady Gaga during a concert last year in Ireland.

Website Artfact said the nail was worn by the singer during a September 2012 concert in Dublin as part of her "Born This Way Ball" tour and its authenticity is guaranteed by PFC Auctioneers of the United Kingdom, which is selling the object on Artfact, the Boston Herald reported Thursday.

The auction had a high bid of $12,885 with just over two hours remaining Thursday.

"As a leading pop icon of our times, a style leader and a highly influential cultural figure on a global scale, this piece of Lady Gaga's personal style could appeal to both passionate collectors of pop culture relics or one of Gaga's Monsters -- the name she's given to her notoriously loyal fan base," Artfact chief executive officer Rob Weisberg said in a statement. "This item is expected to have broad appeal from Lady Gaga's ardent fans who want something personal for their collection."
